“Leesha was our primary doula from the very first night with our daughter until she was 4 months old. She was so friendly and easy to communicate with, so professional, and so knowledgeable and talented — of course as a doula and newborn/baby caregiver, and also as a chef (she cooked meals for us), and as a photoshoot stylist (she knows how to swaddle flawlessly!). She helped not just me during my postpartum months and our baby, but also my older son by helping him play and bond with his new sibling. She knew what to try and how to help when I had trouble with nursing positions or had pain related to breastfeeding (taught me massaging and hand expression techniques). She was really so attentive to our every need. She genuinely cared and made sure that I rested, slept, went out for walks, and took long hot baths. The difference between my postpartum experiences with my first vs second born was night and day thanks to Leesha. My loud, screamy baby struggled a lot with short and unpredictable naps and nighttime sleep, and I struggled a lot with postpartum anxiety. I can’t imagine how I would have survived the first few months without Leesha, both emotionally and physically. I always let out a huge sigh of relief every time I heard Leesha’s car arrive at our house! Most importantly, she is a mother herself and is so loving and caring with babies and kids.
