Ashley is a Afro-Dominican woman from the Bronx. She began her doula journey because she felt a deep ancestral calling to the work. Her great-grandmother was a partera (midwife) in the Dominican Republic, and although Ashley never met her, this connection grounds and inspires her practice. She is grateful to be able to offer continuous physical and emotional support, as well as education and advocacy, for birthing people. Her intention is to help guide and protect the birth experience for laboring individuals and couples in all settings, fostering a strong bond between birthing people and their babies.
